Twitter Experiment

Ok, I'm trying twitter to see how else I can be distracted from doing my work. So far, I've found the article posted below, and a French photographer who's identified a couple of links to other websites where I might post my art. We'll see.

Art Books

I am a hopeless collector of art books. I often acquire more than one of a title that interests me, and offer those for sale at my website, many times at prices less than retail. I tend to enjoy western art and photography, landscape art[ists], Japanese prints and style, biographies and a variety of other things. Take a look, you might see something you like. And I will be identifying books I think are special.

Link to Art Books.

FINEARTAMERICA

I've just started posting images to the Fineartamerica site. Hello to those of you who have come here from there.

I am revamping my website starting tomorrow to update many new images I've made over the past year and haven't posted yet.

You can see additional images I've posted at the photo.net site in the interim.

I'd value any and all comments you have the time to leave me.

FRAMES!

One of the biggest obstacles for artists is presentation. What is both appropriate and affordable in framing and matting can be overwhelming - let me tell you about it sometime.

I think I've found a nice approach to presenting canvas versions of some of my images, as you can see here; the traditional plein aire frame in gold or silver for those landscapes which fall into this category.

This particular frame's outside measurement is 11.5" x 13.5" art work size is 8'X 10". These frames are all wood with gold finish, and provide a handsome and reasonably priced package for an open edition print with the painterly feel of an original.

This image of a winter sunrise at Spanish Bay on the Monterey Peninsula is presently listed at ebay for $125.

I will be adding 2 more images in a little while with 2 more frames.

Please feel free to leave me comments about this presentation.

I will also add some observations on my rationale behind this approach.

Oh, yes, I've not been doing very much work over the past 3 weeks, as I've just become a grandfather for the first time...and will post a photo later.
